యువతరం ప్రతినిధి విజయకుమార్ ఆదర్శప్రాయుడు. విద్యార్థి దశ నుంచి అతనిలోని సేవా భావన, సాంఘిక, సామాజిక, సేవా నృత్తులు అతని జీవితాన్ని క్రమబద్ధంగా నడిపించాయి. 1987-88 లయన్స్ క్లబ్ ఆఫ్ జడ్చర్ల సభ్యునిగా చేరారు. సమాజసేవకు లయనిజం ఉపకరణం కాగలదని భావించిన విజయ్ కుమార్ సేవా కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టారు. ఆనాటి నుంచి ఈనాటి వరకు లయన్స్ క్లబ్ లో తిరుగులేని నాయకుడిగా అంచలంచలుగా ఎదిగి అనేకమందికి ఆదర్శప్రాయుడైనారు.
1989-90 లయన్స్ క్లబ్ అధ్యక్షతను చేపట్టి వికలాంగులకు ట్రై సైకిల్స్, పేదవారికి చీరలు, దుప్పట్లు, బియ్యం పంపిణీ చేశారు. నైతిక విలువలు దిగజారుతున్న నేటి సమాజంలో వివిధ శాఖల్లో నిజాయితీగా పనిచేసే లబ్ద ప్రతిష్టులైన ఉద్యోగులకు సన్మానించి లయన్స్ లో నూతన వరవడిని తీర్చేదిద్దారు. అదే సంవత్సరం చెవిటివారికి వినికిడి యంత్రాలు, నేత్రవైద్యం, రక్తదాన, కుటుంబ నియంత్రణ శిబిరాలు, నిరుపేదలకు వికలాంగులకు ఆర్థిక సహాయం, ప్రతిభ కలిగిన విద్యార్థులకు ఉపకార వేతనాలు, ప్రతిభావంతులకు పురస్కారాలు చేపట్టి లయన్స్ నాయకుడు అంటే ఇలా ఉండాలని అనిపించుకున్న ఘనత అరికెపూడికే దక్కింది.
జోన్ చైర్మన్గా, డిస్ట్రిక్ట్ చైర్ పర్సన్ గా వివిధ విభాగాలలో విజియన్ చైర్మన్గా అతి విస్తృతమైన కంటి ఆపరేషన్లు, వికలాంగులకు అసాధారణమై వైద్య పరీక్షలు, కుటుంబ నియంత్రణ ఆపరేషన్స్, అనేక ప్రాంతాలలో రక్తదాన శిబిరాలను ఏర్పాటు చేసి అనేకమంది చేత రక్తదానాన్ని చేయించారు.
ఇప్పటివరకు రంగారెడ్డి, మహబూబ్ నగర్ జిల్లాలో 20 కి పైగా బస్సు షెల్టర్లు ఏర్పాటు చేయడం జరిగింది. అన్నిటికన్నా నేను ఇష్టపడి, కష్టపడి నాకు ఎంతో సంతృప్తి ఇచ్చిన కార్యక్రమం బుద్ధిమాంద్యం కలిగిన పిల్లలకు శిక్షణ ఇచ్చేందుకు ఆసుపత్రికి వీలైనంత త్వరగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి చేతుల మీదగా ప్రారంభించాలని అనుకుంటున్నాను అని అన్నారు విజయ్ కుమార్. వికలాంగుల కోసం చికిత్స కోసం ఎన్నో హాస్పిటల్స్ ఉన్నాయి. బుద్ధిమాంద్యం జన్మించిన పిల్లలకు వారు పనులకు చేసుకొనే విధంగా తగిన హాస్పిటల్స్ లేవు. ఇటువంటి పిల్లలను చేర్చుకునే హాస్పిటల్స్ ఉన్నప్పటికీ కేవలం అతి కొద్ది రోజులు మాత్రమే ఉంచుకొని ఇంటికి పంపించి వేస్తున్నారు. దీనిని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని ఇటువంటి పిల్లలకు శాశ్వతమైన పరిష్కారం కనుగనాలనే ఆలోచనే ఈ హాస్పిటల్ కి రూపకల్పన చేసింది. ఈ హాస్పిటల్ లో పిల్లలను చేర్చుకోవటమే కాదు, వారికి అన్ని సమయాల్లో సేవలు అందించేందుకు, శిక్షణ ఇచ్చేందుకు నర్సులకు ముందుగా శిక్షణ ఇచ్చి తీర్చిదిద్దుచున్నాము. హాస్పిటల్ నిర్మించటం కోసం స్థలం ఇమ్మని కలెక్టర్ గారిని కోరితే స్థలం ఇవ్వటానికి ఎటువంటి అభ్యంతరం లేదు కాకుంటే అనేక మురికివాడలలో స్కూల్ నిర్మాణానికి చేయూతను అందించాలని కోరడం జరిగింది. మురికివాడలలో స్కూల్ నిర్మాణానికి 35 స్కూళ్ళు నిర్మించగలిగాను. వీటిలో పదింటిని అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ప్రారంభించారు. 35 స్కూళ్ల తర్వాత అలసిపోయిన విజయ్ కుమార్ మొత్తం స్కూళ్ల నిర్మాణం పూర్తి అయ్యే సమయానికి అనుకున్న లక్ష్యం వెనుకబడిపోగలదని కలెక్టర్కు వివరించగా ఆయన అభిప్రాయాన్ని ఏకీభవించి స్థలం ఇవ్వడం జరిగింది. దీనికి మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ఫౌండేషన్ స్టోన్ వేయటం జరిగింది. ఎట్టకేలకు ఇది గత ఏడాది ప్రారంభమై లక్ష్యం దిశగా అడుగులు వేస్తోంది.
తనకు జన్మనిచ్చిన తల్లిదండ్రుల పేరున 1990లో ఒక ఆసుపత్రిని జడ్చర్లలో కట్టించి ఇవ్వటం జరిగింది. అయితే అనేకమంది పత్తి రైతులు పడే కష్టాలు, ఇబ్బందులను గమనించి, మార్కెట్ యార్డు నిర్మించాలని ఆలోచన వచ్చి మార్కెట్ యార్డ్ నిర్వహణానికి 20 ఎకరాల స్థలాన్ని ఉచితంగా ఇవ్వటం జరిగింది. దీనిలో విజయ్ కుమార్ తల్లిదండ్రులు పూర్ణచంద్రరావు నాంచారమ్మ పేరు మీద నిర్మించగా ఈ విగ్రహాలను అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైయస్ రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి ఆవిష్కరించి విజయకుమార్ను అభినందించారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ ఆవరణలో మహబూబ్ నగర్ రైతులే కాకుండా ఇతర జిల్లాల రైతులు సైతం వినియోగించుకుంటున్నారంటే ఎంత పెద్దదిగా నిర్మించారో అర్థమవుతుంది.
అంతేకాకుండా హైదరాబాద్ లో మెహదీపట్టణంలో ఉన్న సరోజినీ దేవి కంటి ఆసుపత్రిలో 324 ఐఓఎల్ ఆపరేషన్లు ఒకేరోజు నిర్వహించి గిన్నిస్ బుక్ లోకి ఎక్కారు. ప్రతిరోజు 15 నుండి 20 ఆపరేషన్లు చేస్తే గొప్పగా భావించే ఈ తరుణంలో ఒకేరోజులో ఏక మొత్తంలో ఇంతమందికి ఆపరేషన్లు చేయాలని తలంపు, పట్టుదల, ఏకాగ్రత, ఆలోచనా విధానం విజయకుమార్ చెప్పిన తీరు, విధానం డాక్టర్లకు సైతం స్వాగతించారు

Vijay Kumar is an exemplary figure, representing the youth. From student life, he has nurtured a sense of service, participating in various social and community service activities that have become an integral part of his life. He joined the Lions Club of Jadcherla in 1987-88 and has since dedicated himself to numerous service programs envisioned by Lions Clubs International. From then till now, he has remained an unwavering leader, inspiring many with his selfless service in both rural and urban areas.
In the year 1989-90, under his leadership as the President of the Lions Club, various welfare activities were carried out for the differently-abled. They distributed tricycles, sarees, blankets, rice, and organized several medical camps for the physically challenged. Recognizing the talents and achievements of individuals working diligently in various fields, they honored them and provided new opportunities within Lions Club. In the same year, they also conducted eye camps, blood donation drives, family planning camps, provided financial assistance to the disabled, awarded scholarships to talented students, and aimed to uplift the economically weaker sections. Vijay Kumar’s commitment to service and recognition of excellence became an inspiration to many in the region.
As Zone Chairman and District Chairperson, Vijayan chaired extensive operations in various divisions. He conducted exceptional medical examinations for the differently-abled, organized family planning operations, and held blood donation camps in many areas, encouraging numerous individuals to participate in blood donation.
Afterward, as Vice District Governor, he continued to initiate numerous service programs. In 1997-98, when he assumed the role of District Governor, he extended his service to the disadvantaged and underprivileged. Vijayan Kumar’s dedication to serving society encouraged individuals to actively participate, whether by personally elevating themselves or by indirectly contributing to society. He believed that everyone has a moral duty to uplift society in any way possible.
His dedication and service programs, including the Market Yard program, received recognition and appreciation from Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the then Chief Minister. This acknowledgment and support further motivated him to advance his service initiatives and make a greater impact.
Certainly! Vijay Kumar initiated several programs and initiatives to improve the lives of underprivileged children and individuals with disabilities in Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts. He established 20 bus shelters to provide better transportation facilities. In addition, he focused on education and healthcare for children with intellectual disabilities and built hospitals to cater to their needs.
It’s worth noting that providing continuous care and education for children with special needs is essential, and these efforts have brought satisfaction to Vijay Kumar. He also emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to their well-being, beyond just providing shelter.
Moreover, he worked on constructing schools in areas that lacked educational infrastructure and aimed to build a total of 35 schools. The foundation stone for these schools was laid by former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Vijay Kumar’s commitment to these initiatives reflects his dedication to improving the lives of disadvantaged communities in these districts.
In 1990, an individual named Vijay Kumar constructed a hospital in Jadcherla and donated it. Subsequently, many tenant farmers faced difficulties, and upon recognizing their plight, discussions led to the establishment of a market yard. A 20-acre plot was allocated for the operation of the market yard, free of charge. In honor of his parents, Vijay Kumar erected statues of them in the yard, which were unveiled by the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Presently, not only are Mahabubnagar district farmers utilizing this environment, but also farmers from other districts, which has significantly benefited them.
