గత గవర్నర్ శ్రీ విజయ్ కుమార్ హైదరాబాద్-బెంగళూరు జాతీయ రహదారిపై జడ్చర్ల సమీపంలో దాదాపు 8 కోట్ల రూపాయల విలువైన 20 ఎకరాల స్థలాన్ని పత్తి మార్కెట్ యార్డు ఏర్పాటు కోసం విరాళంగా ఇచ్చారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఉత్పత్తులను లాభదాయకంగా విక్రయించేందుకు పెద్దపీట వేసిన ఈ ప్రాంత రైతులకు ఇది వరంగా మారింది. గత గవర్నర్ విజయ్ కుమార్ విరాళంగా ఇచ్చిన స్థలంలో నిర్మించిన మార్కెట్ యార్డు ప్రారంభోత్సవ కార్యక్రమంలో ఇటీవల జరిగిన మెరిసే కార్యక్రమంలో ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి డాక్టర్ వై.ఎస్. రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి తన దాతృత్వానికి పూనుకుని తల్లిదండ్రుల విగ్రహాలను ఆవిష్కరించారు. మానసిక వికలాంగ పిల్లల చికిత్స మరియు పునరావాసం కోసం 35 లక్షల రూపాయల వ్యయంతో నిర్మించిన ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ప్రాజెక్ట్, లయన్స్ చైల్డ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్ సెంటర్‌ను గత జిల్లా గవర్నర్ విజయ్ కుమార్ 2003 లో హైదరాబాద్‌లోని నీలోఫర్ ఆసుపత్రిలో ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ ఆసుపత్రి మెంటల్లీ రిటార్డెడ్ పిల్లల అవసరాన్ని తీర్చడమే కాకుండా, శారీరకంగా వికలాంగులైన ఈ పిల్లలకు సహాయం చేయడానికి గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలకు వెళ్లే ప్రత్యేక నర్సుల బృందాలను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తుంది. అతను 1990లో ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని వెనుకబడిన జిల్లా మెహబూబ్ నగర్‌లోని జడ్చర్లలో ఒక ఆసుపత్రిని నిర్మించాడు మరియు దానిని తన తల్లిదండ్రులకు అంకితం చేశాడు.

Generosity is the soul of lionism! Here is one person, who is living example of generosity in action. Past District Governor Arigapudi Vijay Kumar who is known for his magnanimity since his childhood showed the lions that by giving back to others unselfishly is definitely a way of blessing oneself.
Past Governor Mr. Vijay Kumar donated 20 acres of land near Jadcherla on the Hyderabad-Bangalore National Highway worth nearly rupees 8 crores for setting up a cotton market yard. This has become a boon for the farmers of the area who now have a huge place to trade their produce beneficially. At a recently held glittering inaugural function of the market yard built on the land donated by past Governor Vijay Kumar, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, complemented his generosity and unveiled the statues of his parents. The prestigious project, lions child development centre, constructed at a cost of rupees 35 lakhs for the treatment and rehabilitation of mentally challenged children was started by past district Governor Vijay Kumar in 2003 at Niloufer Hospital, Hyderabad. This hospital not only caters to the need of mentally retarded children but develops dedicated teams of nurses who go over to rural areas to help these physically challenged children. He constructed a hospital at Jadcherla, a rural place in backward district Mahabubnagar, Andhra Pradesh in 1990 and dedicated it to his parents
